ABOUT ME

My name is Andy Ashley and I have worked in the construction industry for the past 15 years. Over this time I have worked on a magnitude of different projects covering a wide range of sectors including commercial, residential, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Defence, education, student accommodation and healthcare.

This experience was gained whilst working for large construction companies, in a variety of design roles, and has proved invaluable so that I have a full understanding of how buildings are designed and constructed to the finest of detail.

​

I've always enjoyed what I do and get satisfaction when I am able to achieve a client's building ambitions. This led me to go alone and setup AJA Architectural Services specialising in domestic home improvements.

​

I'm the type of person who likes to keep things simple and not overwhelm a client with jargon. For me building a rapport with a client is just as important as delivering what they require. I've been told I'm highly personable (see my Testimonial page) and like to understand my clients aspirations so that I can bring that vision to life. I'm not afraid to offer suggestions, alternatives and am only too happy to offer practical advice where necessary.

I take great pride in delivering high quality technical drawings, and am not satisfied until I have a happy client.

I'm experienced at dealing with Local planning authorities and the process from validation to determination. I have a good grasp of both National and Local planning policies in particular those which relate to design.

Outside of the day job I have two young children (7 & 3) who keep me on my toes. As well as this I'm a keen sports fan and an enthusiastic DIYer.
